Bujinkan 2026 Noguchi Taikai

Detroit, MI - Sheraton Metro Airport Hotel

March 6–8, 2026

Join us for the 5th annual Noguchi Taikai, an unforgettable weekend of training with Noguchi Yukio Sensei, Bujinkan Daishihan and Headmaster of Koto Ryū Happō Biken. For three days, Detroit will become a global hub for the Bujinkan community, bringing together practitioners of all levels to learn, train, and connect. Whether you’re just starting your Bujinkan journey or have decades of experience, this Taikai offers something for everyone. Expect in-depth instruction in unarmed taijutsu, bōjutsu (staff), kenjutsu (sword), and more from the Bujinkan curriculum.

Over the weekend you’ll receive 12+ hours directly with Noguchi Sensei plus 9 hours with his hand-selected guest instructors, a rare chance to study with the Headmaster of Koto Ryū in the U.S. Beyond training, Detroit becomes a global hub for our community, meet practitioners from around the world, exchange ideas, and build lasting connections. Registrants receive a full “What to Bring” checklist. Space is limited, register early to secure your spot.

Featuring Noguchi Sensei

We are honored to once again welcome Noguchi Yukio Sensei, Bujinkan Daishihan and 19th Sōke (Headmaster) of Kotō Ryū Happō Biken, to Detroit for the 2026 Noguchi Taikai. Noguchi Sensei has trained under Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, founder of the Bujinkan, for more than five decades and is one of the most senior and respected instructors in the organization.

He holds Menkyo Kaiden (full transmission licenses) in multiple ryūha of the Bujinkan tradition, including Gyokko Ryū Koshijutsu, Togakure Ryū Ninpō Taijutsu, and Kukishin Ryū Bōjutsu, in addition to serving as the current Headmaster of Kotō Ryū. Noguchi Sensei is widely admired for his creative, dynamic, and joyful approach to teaching, breathing life into the fundamentals while demonstrating the depth and adaptability of the Bujinkan martial arts. His classes are renowned for their precision, flow, and energy, making them both highly technical and inspiring. For anyone seeking authentic training in the Bujinkan arts, learning directly from Noguchi Sensei is a rare and invaluable opportunity.
